The introduction of the new Ofsted Inspection Framework brought with it a particular focus on the effectiveness of a school’s curriculum – putting it at the heart of education and inspections.
So, what does your curriculum look like in terms of its intent, implementation and impact?
Designing a distinctive and contextual curriculum that delivers a varied and balanced education for all pupils and works for your community is no easy task. Particularly at a time when the Coronavirus Pandemic has caused a monumental shake-up in the delivery of education, budgets are increasingly tight, and staff recruitment is facing a crisis.
The Designing the Curriculum Online Course will explore key issues and provide expert guidance to help you assess and develop your curriculum offer – asking questions such as how does it work, in theory and practice? Does it address the needs of all your pupils? Does it have the intended impact? How could it be improved?
The course will also examine Ofsted’s expectations around intent, implementation and impact, and look at how they inspect your decision-making, practice, and effect.
The course is fully online and offers flexible individual learning so you can work at your own pace in your own time, and share your understanding and knowledge with your colleagues
